Kinder classes are a lively group with inquiring minds, caring personalities, and thirst for knowledge. The teacher s cover a wide range of topics and activities, aimed at improving the skills the children have acquired and introducing new skills to prepare the children for the elementary grades . We have a brand new classroom; a beautifully l i t and spacious room in an annex at the rear of the main school building , offering a perfect environment for educating young curious minds. We revis e letters and phonics, with an increased focus on the different vowel and blend sounds to enable the children to read more complex words. We are busy learning how to spell, using ‘ word builders ' on a weekly basis to teach the children important everyday vocabulary. Examples include how to spell numbers 1-10 and the days of the week. This skill reinforces the child's ability to read and practice writing the alphabet.

キンダークラスは探究心旺盛で思いやりがあり、向学心旺盛な子供達がたくさんいます。キンダーの先生達は子供達が持っている能力をさらに向上させたり、小学部に向けての新しい知識を身に付けるために、たくさんのトピックを学んだり、活動をしています。新校舎が本校舎の後ろに増設され、明るく広々とした部屋を備えており、好奇心旺盛な子供達には最高の環境となっています。異なる母音や混ざった音に焦点をあて、難しい言葉を読むことができるようになるため、アルファベットやフォニックス復習をします。また、‘ワードビルダー'を毎週使い、単語のつづり、例えば、 1 から 10 の数字や曜日のつづり方を学びます。これらのスキルを強化することで、アルファベットの読み書きの練習へとつながります。

In studying POI (Program Of Inquiry,) we cover many areas, allowing the children to broaden their knowledge on the subjects of Water, My Body, Homes, Telling Stories, Transportation and Places we visit. We use different methods to teach the children (reading books and visiting the library, doing hands-on demonstrations, using computers, watching educational videos and visiting places of interest), in order to keep their minds focused and always learning. In Mathematics, we enhance the children's use of numbers and mathematical vocabulary. We stud y Graphs, Number Representation and Recognition, Patterns and Positions as well as Telling the Time. The children enjoy exploring these different areas using an assortment of materials, such as Mathematics Workbooks, counting cubes, toy clocks, innovat e educational board games, worksheets and even themselves; to give real life data for creating graphs and to help exemplify position and place.

単元学習では、生徒たちの知識力が広まるよう、様々なトピックを学びます：水・私の身体・家・お話をすること・乗り物・私たちが訪れた場所など。子供達が楽しんで勉強を続けられるよう、本読み・図書館利用・実用的なデモンストレーション・コンピューター利用・ビデオ鑑賞・興味深い場所を訪れるなど工夫されています。算数では、数字や数的語彙の強化も目的とし、グラフや記号、数字の認識、パターンや順番など、また時計が読めるようになど学びます。ワークブック、さいころ、おもちゃの時計、ボードゲーム、ワークシートなども楽しんでいます。その他、実際のデータを使い、グラフの作成も行います。
